Little Project

As a Young Women's Personal Progress Project, I put together a recipe book. This consisted of going through and making copies of most of my Mom's recipes. Initially, it was a perfect starting point to becoming a better cook. Throughout the years I've added quite a bit and over time it has gotten quite unorganized. I had half the recipes I use most just typed up in a folder on my computer. That is good for backup purposes, but then what good does my recipe book do?

On Sunday I dove into the overly procrastinated project and began printing recipes. Only a moment after grabbing my recipe book did I realize that it needed a makeover. I felt like I was scrap booking again, and it was a joyous feeling! As I was so consumed in my little project, my poor snookie probably felt neglected. It was about dinner time, papers were sprawled across the floor, the printer kept telling me it was out of ink (so why then was it still able to print so many more pages? Pshh technology....)

I am grateful to have a husband who will not just let me, but appreciate me being consumed in little projects. Probably because he knows this particular one will benefit him as well ;).
