St. George | Thanksgiving 2010

Following the tradition of last year, we drove to Grandma and Grandpa Jensen's in St George where Jay's Dad, Renee and Marin met us from Riverside, CA.

At one point along the drive, the temperature dropped to 0 degrees.

It was a short but sweet trip. Thanksgiving dinner was fabulous as always!
We even had a Thanksgiving dinner number two the next day with all of the leftovers.

We accumulated quite a few pies... apple, pumpkin, peach blueberry, peacon,
and the famous oreo pie made by Jay and myself.
And after stuffing our bellies we played some games.
Breakfast at the hotel.

Grandpa and Grandma Jensen are distantly related to a family who provides flowers for pretty much all of Utah and other states across the country. We got in contact with them and were given a tour of one of their main green houses near St. George.
The cool thing about this green house is that it is heated by under ground thermal energy and extremely pure water that were both found on the sight that the green house was built. They were able to devise a way to recycle this energy so that its 100 percent clean.

The instant humidity when walking into the green house was amazing. It felt totally comparable to Hawaii air, or any tropical place. So refreshing coming from freezing 30 degree nasty, dry air. It made for a fun educational experience.
