I had a fun idea for another valentines treat. Vanilla cupcakes with a yummy home made cream cheese frosting and raspberries on top. Mmm mmm! Anything with raspberries, I'm all over it! So first let me just tell you a fun little story...
Before 9 a.m. church I made a batch of cupcakes thinking, "OK perfect they'll have time to cool and I'll frost them when we get home." I set the timer for less than it said but when I opened the oven, out came this huge gust of hot, dry, burnt oven air! The cupcakes were so burnt. Throughout church I kept getting a whiff of that burnt air which had all gone to my hair and clothes.
So we get home and I think, "OK take number two." Luckily Tiff had a stash of extra cake mix (thanks again cuz).
I turned the oven on a lower temperature and an even lower timer setting. As I was pulling the cupcakes out of the oven my clumsiness kicked in and....
It was just one of those moments where I really almost cried in frustration.
But I am grateful that I ended up laughing instead.
It all worked out in the end.
Because I had to work on Valentines, we celebrated on Friday at Spaghetti Factory with Tiff and Nate.
Just before we left, my Valentine surprised me with these gorgeous flowers and darling note.

And my gift to him, several coupons (which I designed) for several special things ;)
