Sleepover with the Parks Girls

Matt, Jess and their girls came for the week of Thanksgiving.

On Wednesday the girls came over for a sleepover! 
We ate pizza, watched Rio twice, snuggled and made bracelets.

I bought Kinz and Tay gift cards to our favorite ice cream place, Cold Stone! 
They were so excited, as you can tell.

In the morning he girls were getting kind of ansy in our little basement apartment so I took them outside. 
It was such a beautiful Thanksgiving/Fall day. The air was crisp but not too cold and it was so wonderful being with some of my favorite people.

The rest of the day felt strange because it was Thanksgiving and it felt like Thanksgiving but at the same time, it really didn't. 
Even though I had my sis and her family to spend the day with, Jay and I missed the rest of our family. And even though we had a big Thanksgiving dinner to look forward to on Saturday with the Parks', it was a bit depressing to drive around town on Thanksgiving night to try and find a place to eat. 
Jay ended up with Del Taco and I ended up with an upset stomach. Of course now I realize it was so silly of me to feel down on such a wonderful day. 

When I think of all that I have, there's only room for feelings of gratitude.
