On New Years Eve we went back to Irvine to be with Jay's Mom, Mike and Jerris.
Jay had a chest cold and I got something of the sort just days before, which put a damper on our New Years.
But we made the best of it with take out Olive Garden and TV with the family.
Once it hit 12 we said Happy New Year, had a quick kiss and by 12:01 we were out.
Not my idea of an awesome New Years celebration but what ya gonna do?

On New Years Day, we weren't doing a whole lot better so we stayed home and watched One Night with the King.
Later Grandpa and Grandma Patchell had us over for Grandpa's famous Chicken and Dumpling Soup mmm mmm.

The next day (Monday) we weren't exactly 100% but we were well enough to go do some fun things with the family.
After going out to breakfast we saw Sherlock Holmes, then on a walk with the doggies.
