Jay got to sit in on classes, talk to professors and students.
I got to spend the afternoon with the MBASA group.
MBASA (MBA Spouse's Association) is basically a support group designed for the spouses of the MBA students.
You could think of it as Relief Society on steroids. They put together activities for the women, play groups (the kids), book clubs, etc.

At the Day in the Life event, the presidency of the MBASA group gave us a glimpse of how awesome the MBA program is for our spouses, then answered all of our questions.
Students have to sign a waver saying that they will not hold a job for their first year in school because the program is very intense and all focus needs to be on school.
Because of this, many of the women at the event were very concerned (especially those with kids) on how they were possibly going to get by financially.
MBASA offered so much inspiration and support. They emphasized that we don't need to put our lives on hold for 2 years. We can still have babies, spend time with our husbands, and make lots of new friends!

After a wonderful Brick Oven lunch, we visited a few homes of current MBA families.
The point was to give us an idea of different options of living situations.
We saw an apartment, town home and a home.

At 1:30 that afternoon, Jay had his interview.
At 2:30, I met up with Jay and was dying to hear how it went!
The guy he interviewed with said he was going to send over his recommendation and was confident that Jay would get in!
We just had to get through one more week of waiting for an email that would give us the official news.
I had so much anxiety, I couldn't really picture us living in any of those places.
But I feel so good about BYU. We BOTH feel so good about BYU.
My love all handsome for A Day in the Life!
