Silicon Valley
At the beginning of October Jay got to go to Silicon Valley with some of his classmates. 
He ate lots of wonderful food, toured lots of companies, and missed me terribly :)

The Recruiting Process
Jay ended up with:
 14 first-round interviews
3 fly backs (second-round interviews)
2 offers


This is basically how the first part of the recruiting process works:

Companies come to BYU and conduct info sessions for the MBA students. 
They feed them lots of info, lots of food, and give away lots of free stuff...

Students submit resumes to companies.

Companies contact the students and set up interviews.

For some of the companies, the night before they conduct the interviews they take the students and their significant others out to dinner.

Second-round Interviews

First, Jay flew to Cincinnati, Ohio for Procter and Gamble.

Second, Battle creek, Michigan for Kellogg's.

 And third, Boulder, Colorado for Digital Globe.

Offers

After so many interviews, feelings of Jet lag, and time away from his wifey, Jay was anxiously awaiting an offer. 
A week ago, that glorious day came and Jay was offered a summer internship at Kellogg's!! 
They gave him a few days to make his decision. 
We discussed it as we held out for another possible offer that came from Digital Globe. 
But it turns out Kellogg's offer was just too good to beat.

On Wednesday Jay accepted the summer intership offer from Kellogg's!

Its official. From May-August 2013 we will be residing in...

He will be working in an HR position at one of their cereal plants (yay for free cereal!)

Jay always sees the bigger picture in everything. He is constantly working so hard to ensure that our future will be a successful and happy one. This internship is a big step in his career and I couldn't be more proud of him!

We cannot wait for the scary/fun/exciting/adventurous summer that lies ahead of us in Memphis Tennessee. Thank you to everyone who has expressed so much support and excitement for us!
