Oscar's & Candy Cane Lane | December 26th
Steph got her permit on Christmas Eve. It was fun to see her in action. Can't believe my baby sissy is all grown up!
These two were insepereible. It was adorable.
Every morning Luke offered to make Jay breakfast- pancakes and bacon.
They would eat breakfast together, then later I would find them like this...

San Diego Temple & Stir Fresh | December 28th
Jay and I did sealings in the San Diego temple for the first time since our own.
Mom, Dad, Matt, and Jess joined us for the session. It's so special being in the temple with my family.
Once we finished, we picked up Jess and Matt's kids and the babysitter [Steph] and went to one of our favorites- Stir Fresh.

While at the adoption event on Saturday we fell in love with one of the German Shepards, Kella.
Since losing our puppy Mouse, Jay and I planned to wait and get a dog after we moved. Then we saw Kella and seriously considered adopting her.
My mom agreed to foster Kella and Corky [brother and sister] in her home so that Jay and I could get to know her before making a decision.
It became clear that it was not the right time.
It wasn't the right dog either. There just wasn't any connection with Kella. And she seemed to feel the same way.
Now Corky, ohhh I could have easily taken that teddy bear. He was husky and fluffy and had the sweetest personality.
But again, it just didn't feel right. It made me sad and I began to miss Mouse like crazy.
In the end, Jay and I are so glad that we were able to take a few days to make our decision. It allowed us to make the right one.
And after spending three days with two really adorable pups, we are feeling insanely excited for the day when we get to welcome a furry friend into our family again.

Torrey Pines Hiking | December 30th
Nate let me play with his 70-300mm lens for the evening. I was in my own little world with that thing.
