We were pretty thrilled to get out of the cold and snow for a couple weeks and celebrate the holidays with the family.
Our first stop was to Corona to spend a few days with Rich and Renee.
We made a trip to the Bass Pro Shop, snuggled and watched movies, ate at BJ's, went shooting, and attended the family dinner and ornament exchange with Renee's parents.

Little Corona Beach, Newport | December 23rd
Our dear friends, John and Erin Goodman, asked if I would take their family pictures while they vacationed in Newport.
Jerris so kindly agreed to be my assistant for the shoot.
We took the pictures at their resort in Newport, then went to Little Corona for the sunset.
Everything went perfectly, and I know I couldn't have done it without my sweet sister, Jerris.

Whenever we come to visit, Rich either has a new gun or new gun accessories to show off.
Jay and I have been watching a lot of Burn Notice lately [lots of guns, explosions, etc.] so I was kind of itching to go shooting again!
Rich didn't hesitate one bit when we asked if he would take us.

Maybe this wasn't the most appropriate activity for Christmas Eve.
But we did make it somewhat of a festive experience by using a zombie Santa as our target.
