Britney's Baptism

Britney was introduced to the LDS church a few months ago by her friend Holly.

Jay and I had been in the ward for only a month but had already had a few experiences sitting in on lessons with missionaries and investigators. One day after church in June, Elder Richardson and Elder Bagley asked if we would hang around a few extra minutes to join them for a lesson with Britney.

Though there were things Britney didn't understand about the Gospel, she was curious to learn more and continued to meet with the Elders. From that point on Jay and I sat in on almost every one of Britney's lessons. It was truly an incredibly inspiring and beautiful experience to witness someone's conversion to the Gospel. Britney's decision to join the Church was not easy, even though she knew it was the right decision. She had to surrender her old life and habits and commit to a new way of living. But through much faith and prayer, she did it. She is now the newest member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Britney often expresses her love for us and appreciation for the support we've given her. But really, playing a part in her conversion did more for me than I'll ever be able to explain. She's a lovely example of faith and endurance. Meeting with her, Jay, and the Elders on a regular basis brought an added spirit into our home. It brought new perspective and appreciation for the life I've been given.
We're grateful for Britney and so happy to have shared such a special day with her.
