Scott, (Jay's cousin) and his wife Jamie were planning to bless their two month old Aliyah in their home ward in St. George, Utah. Rich kindly picked us up in Vegas on his way to St. George from Corona. After arriving we got some lunch, checked into our hotel, explored Pioneer Park for about 10 minutes before getting rained on, paid a visit to Grandma and Grandpa Jensen's grave site, dinner, then Nielsen's frozen custard for dessert.
After attending sacrament meeting and Aliyah's baby blessing in the morning, we had a lovely lunch at Scott and Jamie's, then headed back home. It was a short but very sweet little getaway. We are just so grateful to be living in Vegas where we're so much closer to our families and are able to be apart of special occasions and family gatherings such as these.
