A few weeks ago Jay went to the dermatologist and had a mole removed. The biopsy came back indicating his mole contained precancerous cells. The options were to take no further action hoping the removed mole contained all the bad cells, or go back for a small procedure to remove more skin from that area. To be safe, Jay made the decision to go back for the procedure which I fully supported. However, the nut intentionally scheduled the procedure on his birthday! Who does that? Recently things have been hectic with his work and the 29th was the best option for getting it done sooner rather than later. The biggest downside for him (and for me) with having this procedure done is because of the location of the incision, Jay will not be able to lift Evelyn until his stitches come out in two weeks. Once Kari heard this was happening she insisted on coming up for the day to help out with Evelyn, and also so I could tag along with Jay to his appointment. The procedure was quick and the only pain Jay experienced was from the needle used to numb his upper abdominal area. After getting home the birthday boy had to carry on with a busy work day, working from home thankfully.
German pancakes for breakfast, In-N-Out for lunch, some family time and relaxation in the evening, Thai food for dinner, Kung Fu Panda 3 (Jay's actually turning 10 not 33, ha), and German chocolate cake for dessert. All things considered, I think Jay had a pretty good day. I know I enjoyed spoiling him but at the end of the day felt I came up short. He's everything to me and Evelyn and he deserves the world.
Happy Birthday to the greatest man ever born!
