Newport

My parents and my siblings Zach, Steph, and Luke picked us up from our cruise at Long Beach and took us over to The Wedge. 

The Wedge is a world-famous surfing and body surfing spot in Newport. When conditions are just right, and the waves come to the shore at the right angle, an approaching wave will reflect off the jetty creating a second wave. The reflected wave meets up with the following wave of the set and forms a peak. Because of this, waves at The Wedge are often several feet larger than waves at other south-facing beaches in Newport on any given day.

Of course we didn't dare go in the water. Its all so incredible I could watch those waves all day long.

The rest of the afternoon was spent at Balboa Fun Zone walking around, riding the ferris wheel, and eating junk food.

After the exhausting but oh so fun day we had dinner with Jay's Mom, Mike, Jerris, and Marin. 
We appreciate our families so much for all that they do.
