A Week With My Sis

I got to spend this last week with my sister and her family in San Diego. Which means Jay and I were separated for 8 days... This was the first time spending the night away from each other. Jay is amazing for being so understanding of the close relationship I have with my sis and letting me escape for a whole week!
As always, Jess and I had such a fun time! We are both photographers so when we're together we always wind up with SO many pictures. I narrowed this post down pretty good.

Jess is such a lovely cook.
And making treats is always on the agenda for sissy time!
Those rolo pretzels are to die for.
What would I do without my little nieces? I loved waking up to their snuggles every morning (no matter how early or how terrible their breath was).
They are such angels.
Riding that bike was too much fun, I felt like a little kid!

Jess and I made a Temple trip to do Initiatories.
It was the first time doing it since my own, which I am a little ashamed to say. It was a really special experience and I love that Jess and I can finally go serve in the temple together.
Lots of heavenly pool trips we made.
Darling little Brooklyn. click here to see more cuteness.
What would a trip to San Diego be without at least a couple of beach trips?
Besides some wind, the weather was perfect.

Makinzie is 8 and Taylor is 6. I have so many good memories of them when they were tiny, but I am loving getting to know them as the big, smart, and beautiful girls that they are becoming with their fun personalities and crazy energy.
Feeling like a little kid again as we jump over the waves!

I took a few family photos for my sis.

On the last day of the trip, we met up with my parents and some siblings to hike Black Mountain in 4S Ranch.
6 miles round trip! I am a little soar... It was definitely worth it.
Mom and Dad
Sisters
Little troopers
Kinz and Uncle Luke enjoying the view.
The trail had so many gorgeous flowers
Love you so much sis! Thanks again for such a great and much needed trip!
