My poor Jay who has had to listen to me come home and complain after work our entire marriage joked that if I came home from this new job crying or upset in any way, he was going to be mad!
But could anyone have ever asked for a better first day at a new job? I don't think so!
The anticipation of this has been 93 percent excitement and 7 percent nervousness which is so not even normal for me.
Normal is 48 percent excitement and 52 percent get me to the nearest toilet.
Its almost unreal that I'm actually doing something I love for a living. Oh boy do I love it.
Everyone was so helpful today in getting me settled. It was a perfect work day.
Time flew as I did 8 haircuts and earned quite a good amount in tips. (Pardon my greed, the tips are my next favorite thing about this job!)
All my hard work, time and patience truly has paid off.
I know for certain though that had I not struggled first to get this job, I would not have the same appreciation for it that I do now.
All ready for my first day!
