On Saturday the 17th, I turned 21!
The day started out with some good sleeping in and french toast my sweets made for me.
Unfortunately I had to work from 11 to 5.
I did not sit down the entire shift, it was so busy. But I was able to use this whole working on my birthday thing to my advantage. I tried to so slyly bring up the fact that it was my birthday to all my clients, hoping to receive some real good tips (don't judge me, you know you'd do it too).
They delivered! Bless their hearts. This sweet old lady handed me a 5 dollar bill and said in her cute little old lady voice, "Happy Birthday Hun."
I came home to a clean place; laundry done, and some birthday cards from my wonderful family.
Also waiting for me at home was a slickly dressed husband ready to take me out to dinner!
Off to Outback we went where I stuffed my face.
But really, I was pretty much waddling out of the restaurant.
I felt bad that I'm kind of a hard person to shop for and wasn't giving Jay any good ideas of what I wanted for my birthday. The things I really want are never realistic, such as a car.
But the man succeeded in buying me the perfect gift! He got me a $50 gift card to Plato's closet (the only place I ever buy my clothes) and $50 in cash.
Thank you my love for such a wonderful birthday.
And thank you dear family and friends for your wonderful birthday wishes!
I am a lucky gal.
