Vegas Weekend | Kalani & Kim's Wedding

On Friday afternoon our dear friend Andrew, drove us down to Vegas for Kalani's [Andrew's mission buddy] wedding.

Just a few days prior to our trip I was mentioning to Jay that I have never had a perfume, but I would really love to start looking for my scent.
In the outlet mall in St George we stopped at a perfume shop where I bought my first ever bottle of perfume: Forbidden Euphoria by Calvin Klein.
The store was having a sale so Jay picked up a special scent for himself.
We arrived at Jay's step-grandparent's house in Henderson, Nevada at about 6 pm.
Andrew headed off to the sealing while I got to meet Kent, Chon, [step grandparents] and Chris [step uncle] Goodman.

Later that night we ate Dinner at Elephant Bar, which was right next to Rachel's Kitchen!
Kent is an engineer and played a big part in building the Mike O'Callaghan-Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge, which overlooks the Hoover Dam
On Saturday morning, Kent was thrilled to give us a little tour.

Looking down from the bridge 900 feet down was overwhelming!

We were amazed at just how crisp Kent's mind is he's coming up on 80!
He is such a smart man and truly has a passion for being an engineer.
Our trip to the Dam was very educational!

After visiting the Dam, we went to the Gold and Silver Pawn Shop of Pawn Stars
Next on our agenda was Blue Diamond Ranch
Because of a fee we didn't get to see the ranch, but it was a fun drive.
Andrew just insisted on getting a picture next to the Donkey. Oh boys...
That night we went to Kalani's Luau Reception
The food was AMAZING. Kalani and Kim sang together, then Kalani sang a song to his bride.
It was a beautiful reception. Congrats Kim and Kalani!
 Our last destination: The Strip!
Actually, we just went to the Belagio water show.
Quite honestly, the long walk from our car to the show gave us more than enough of a taste of what Vegas is all about.
Road-tripping with these two boys was such a blast!
Even though it was a short trip it was good to get away, spend time with a good friend, meet some of Jay's family, and explore Nevada.
