Jay has always been prone to bug bites.
It's like, he just tastes extra good to the bugs or something.
While camping in San Diego, we all got a few mosquito bites. But Jay got more than a few.
A couple days after our camping trip, two of the bites on his foot started looking bad and were really itchy.
It had been over a week since he got bit. It should have been looking better by now. But on Sunday [while still in California] it was looking worse.
Luckily Rich and Renee knew of someone in their stake that was a doctor.
They called him up and while we were still at church, this man so willingly came to help.
There we were in the church kitchen; everyone in their church clothes, Jay had his shoe off- foot up on the counter, the doctor examining his foot, the rest of us standing by.
The doctor never said for certain what it was.
He thought most likely it was just a really bad infection. He wrote Jay a prescription and suggested some remedies.
After a week of antibiotics and soaking his foot in a bucket of ice-water, he is healed!
From now on when it comes to spending long periods of time outdoors, Jay just might have to bathe himself in bug repellent.
