A Few Christmasy Things

In the last two months we have probably already gotten more snow than we did all last winter.
Some may complain of the snow and of the cold.
And you'd think I would to, being the sun-lovin southern California girl that I am.
But strangely enough I have grown quite fond of the snow.
I will never lose my roots. I'd pick the ocean over the snow any day.
But in the mean time, I'm enjoying this winter wonderland.
When we were asked to play Mary and Joseph in our ward Christmas party, it was kind of hard to say 'no' since the party was only an hour away.
I was nervous, but it all went smoothly and we had a blast doing it.
AND we look good.
Some festive crafting.
Our first real life Christmas Tree!
We learned one really valuable lesson with this one: When the kind man offers to saw the bottom of the tree off for you, say "YES".
We spent a good hour getting the bottom off ourselves. The saw we used was so dull that it actually got hot from the friction, I saw an angry side of Jay that I hope to never see again (Sarcasm. But not really. We were both frustrated.) and we were both sore the rest of the day.
In the end she looks great and we love having a real tree, I don't think we will go back to fake!
