This was our first Christmas in Utah, without our families.
It was a very peaceful and relaxing.
We saw lots of movies, went on a winter stroll, ate a pound of See's chocolate, went shopping, ate out just about everyday, and enjoyed lots of snow [mouse didn't enjoy the snow].

I'll admit that Christmas morning felt a little too peaceful and quiet.
We're used to loud Christmas mornings with our big families.

I was feeling pretty homesick, but my sweetheart reminded me that we are a family and we can have our own traditions.
Just a few of them...
A tradition from my family: Watching A Christmas Story on Christmas eve.
A tradition that came from Jay's family: Christmas PJ's on Christmas eve.
As our family grows we will continue to create new traditions.
As for now I'm really grateful for the family I have. And even though it was a quiet Christmas with just us and our pup, its one to be cherished because it may never happen again.
I love the spirit of Christmas. I love our Savior Jesus Christ and all that he has given to us. May we remember his birth, his life, and his sacrifice all year round.
