Our first stop was the Flying Saucer for lunch.
We spotted non alcoholic beer on the menu and thought, why not?
Jay had it before and warned me how awful it is, but I wanted to taste it for myself.
Sure enough, a w f u l- like drinking Lysol or something. Blah.
Next, we took a tour of the Gibson Guitar Factory with Jay's boss, Darin.
The factory makes approximately 55 guitars day, all involving so much intricate work.
I desperately wish I could have gotten more pictures, but photography was not allowed on the tour.

Just across the street was the Rock 'n' Soul Museum
It was an automated tour where we got to go at our own pace.
We definitely learned a lot, and got to hear some classic tunes on the jukeboxes.

The evolution of music is so fascinating. It has changed in so many ways- good and bad.
Darin lives downtown and was kind enough to take us to the rooftop of his apartment.
The cool breeze was a perfect break from the heat down on the streets.
This was by far my favorite part of the day.
