Nashville

The trip was very last minute and we didn't get to do everything on our list, but I'd say we did pretty darn good.
The only thing we might have missed out on in Nashville was seeing some live music.
The south's preferred genre of music is country, which happens to be our least favorite. So we're thinking maybe we didn't miss out too much.
This weekend was one of my favorites of the whole summer.
Not so much because we were in Nashville, but because any kind of weekend getaway with Jay is always my favorite.
We had the best time exploring the city, and eating at fancy restaurants.

Our first stop was Marche Artisan Foods [hipster central].
It sounded too perfect- a light lunch of sandwiches and salads in a little corner cafe downtown.
Once we finally sat at our table after a 40 minute wait, we realized they were serving brunch NOT lunch.
I was pretty frustrated with myself for not looking at the menu ahead of time, and I was seriously craving a good sandwich!
But the bacon, potatoes and french toast was delicious. And Jay had no complaints since he skipped breakfast that morning.
Tennessee State Capitol Building
[Haha, I sure love him.]
Rose Pedal and Avocado gourmet popsicles at Las Paletas.
We passed by so many farms and mansions on our drive to the temple.
We even took a few detours to get a closer look at the gorgeous homes.
Nashville Tennessee Temple
The Hilton hotel in Brentwood.
Dinner at Mere Bulles.
Antique Archaeology
If you're familiar with the show American Pickers- this is one of the stores filled with Mike Wolfe's "picks".
Sloco for fresh, and organic sandwiches.
Everything was organic and recycled. They even have you drinking from old [clean] jars.
