Jay and I went on little strolls with Mouse as often as we could [or as weather permitted].
It was always the perfect end to a long work day, or even just to a relaxing Sunday.
We discussed the highs and lows of our day as we laughed at our annoying pup [she had to stop and sniff EVERYTHING.]
Arriving at the park, we would let Mouse off the leash and she would chase us as we ran through the grass.
Then when it was time to go, WE would be chasing HER.
I knew coming back home to Provo from Memphis without Mouse was going to be tough. And it sure was.
There were lots of little reminders of her; the chewed up corners of our kitchen chairs, her tennis ball under our bed,
Koda [the Johnson's dog upstairs- Mouse and Koda were good friends], the heat dish [Mouse's best friend], and
the Provo trail- where we walked our pup.
On Sunday after we ate dinner, we walked the trail for the first time without Mouse.
It was a bittersweet experience... We were missing her terribly. But we recognized how good our lives are.
I've said it a million times and I'll say it a million times more... I don't know what I would do without Jay.
He is my world. No matter the struggles of life, he keeps me strong and keeps me laughing.
