A couple years ago I had a nanny job that basically turned out to be a nightmare.
You can read more about it here.

After the experience, any thought of being a nanny or doing any kind of babysitting was nonexistent.
Until one day when I stumbled upon an ad on the MBASA Google group...

Someone was in need of a part-time babysitter for their six month old.
I read through the job description and had a really good feeling about it.

I responded to the add and set up an interview for a few days later.
The interview went perfectly. There was an instant connection with the family.
A couple days after the interview, I accepted the job.
This wasn't something I was necessarily pursuing, but it all just fell into place.
I couldn't help but take that as a sign that it was something I needed to do.
The first week of October I started my new job.
Between this part-time job and taking care of all my hair clients, my work schedule is just right.
I'm busy enough to I feel productive and earn some money, but I have more free time and am way less stressed.
I'm able to enjoy my hobbies, friends, and take care of grocery shopping, house cleaning, etc.

Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday I go over to Leland's house.
He sleeps a good portion of the time, allowing me to catch up on blogging, reading or whatever it may be.
And when he's awake he's the happiest little guy!
I mean, besides the poopy diapers and spit-ups... Its all good practice, right?
