Kellogg's | Jensen's Relocation

At the end of Jay's internship with Kellogg's in August 2013, he was offered a full-time job with the company.

We felt so blessed to have such an incredible opportunity and couldn't wait to hear where they planned to send us!

By September they narrowed down the options:

Denver, Colorado

Omaha, Nebraska

Cincinnati, Ohio

Battle Creek, Michigan

Lancaster, Pennsylvania

They instructed us to pick our top three, then from there the company would choose.

None of the locations stood out. We just felt so humbled by the opportunity to work for such a good company.

And that's what we told them.

We hoped to get some kind of response soon after. But instead, the next six months were spent waiting.

Again, we fully recognize how blessed we are and have no right to complain about the waiting.

But it was the suspense that was killing us! And the excitement. I couldn't wait to find out the location so we could start house/apartment hunting!

Today while sitting in our car in the parking lot just about to go in and run an errand, Jay's phone notified him on a new email.

He opened it up. It was Kellogg's! 
The word is in! We know where we're going!

When Jay read the email to me I wasn't super ecstatic, but not necessarily disappointed.
It just didn't feel real. Also, this is somewhere I have never been and I just didn't know what to think of it.

We spent the rest of the day talking with friends and family about our exciting news.

The more we let it sink in, the more we realize what an adventure the next two years will be.

 We can hardly wait!
