Utah Bucket List | Manti Utah Temple & Bam Bam's BBQ

Our visit to the Manti Utah Temple was a sweet and memorable one.

While we waited for the sealing session to start, this sweet worker came over to greet and get to know us.
A few minutes later he came back over and instructed Jay and me to follow him.
He showed us all of the other sealing rooms, including the one he and his wife were sealed in, while giving us a little bit of history of the temple.

After Jay and I completed a sealing session, the same worker instructed us to once again follow him.
He led us to the two self-supporting, open-centered, five stories high spiral staircases.
These staircases are absolutely beautiful. They were built in the 1880s and were considered an engineering marvel to the world.
[Of course no photography is allowed inside the temple, so I stole this photo from the internet.]
As our temple worker friend led us through the rest of the temple, he was so excited to introduce us to the other workers.
As we walked by other workers he would say with much enthusiasm, "These are the Jensens! They're visiting us from Provo and are originally from southern California, and this guy [pointing to Jay] is 6' 7''!"

Jay and I were so touched by the genuine welcome we felt from the workers, and just loved every second of our visit to the Manti Temple.
We got back into town right at 12:00 to meet Rhett and Tracey for lunch at Bam Bam's BBQ.
As we ate our meal we reminisced about our dining experiences in Memphis, and both agreed there is nothing like Tennessee BBQ.
However, Bam Bam's was delicious! Definitely the best BBQ in Utah.
