Gull Meadow Farms

Jay had the day off, so we took a lovely drive out to Richland to visit Gull Meadow Farms.

Upon arriving at the farm, we took a wagon ride out to the pumpkin patch. The man dropped us off and said he would be back in about 15 minutes.
It was slim pickin's on the pumpkins. At first glance we thought, ok there's got to be at least one decent pumpkin left. Nope. Every single pumpkin was either smashed, covered in bugs, or completely rotten. That, combined with the dreary weather, sound of the crows squawking, being all alone and out in the middle of nowhere, made for sort of an eerie setting.
We settled on the idea of purchasing a pre-picked pumpkin rather than a rotten one from the pumpkin patch. Then we killed time while waiting for our wagon ride.

During our outing I kept imagining what these adventures will be like with our little one in tow. It will be amazing. And as incredibly excited as I am for that day, I'm really treasuring these last few outings where it's just the two of us. There is something very special about being out with just my love.

The lady bugs couldn't resist Jay.

 Baby's first pumpkin.

After our farm adventure, we ate at Panera, then saw Meet the Mormons with Garth and Kiery in Kalamazoo.
