Jess has always been an incredible source of support and pure joy in my life. She was the first person [after Jay and myself] to know I was pregnant and since that glorious day, has been there to offer added support and joy. I admire her as a friend, sister, wife, and mother. I am thankful every day to have her as a shining example of motherhood. On top of being the greatest big sister in the world, she threw me a beautiful shower during my stay in San Diego.
It was the perfect afternoon. The food consisted of all of my favorites: soup, bread, salad, fruit, cookies, Rolo pretzels, mini cinnamon rolls, and cake. [Seriously she nailed it!] We played a couple of games, I opened my gifts, then caught up with old friends. At the end of the day my belly was oh so full, my body was pooped, and I was totally overwhelmed by all the people that came to support our growing family.
