-Wearing size 3-6 months in clothes.
-Rolls all over the place.
-Reaches her arms out and gets really excited when I go to pick her up.
-Reaches for everything. It's getting more difficult to hold her in my lap while I'm eating because she just tries to grab at my food the whole time.
-Rubs my chest and grabs at my hair while nursing.
-Sucks on her toes.
-Is becoming more aware of Kella's existence. Evelyn gets such a thrill out of watching Jay or me play fetch with Kella and always reaches for her.
-A couple months ago Jay started the game where he slowly creeps towards Evelyn and says, "I'mmm gonna get yoouuu" then tickles her neck. She totally gets the game now- we don't even have to touch her, just by saying the words, "I'm gonna get you" she smiles so big because she knows what's coming! She's also catching on to other games like peek-a-boo, and laughs when we make silly faces.
-Eating rice cereal on a regular basis.
-At 2 and 3 months she was cooing all the time, then went about a month making hardly any noises. It was a little concerning but the doctor reassured us and basically said it simply meant Evelyn was just taking in her surroundings. Sure enough right around her 4 month mark she found her voice again!
-Everyone is always commenting on how alert and even-keeled her personality is. She definitely gets that from Jay.
-Holds a bottle by herself most of the time, but still needs a little assistance.
-If she's been awake too long and is overtired she gets really giggly, but it doesn't last long. One minute she'll be giggling then the next she's crying.

-Loves her bouncer.
-Loves her rock-a-roo.
-Loves Baby Einstein videos.
-Loves being outside.
-Loves bath time.
-Loves to coo and smile at herself in the mirror.
-Someone at church asked what Evelyn's name was, but she must have heard incorrectly because after I told her it was Evelyn she says, "Oh Everlend! What a beautiful name!"
-Nicknames: Peanut, Brittle, Love, Gorgeous, Everlend
Falling asleep in my arms is becoming a rare occurrence.
Kella tries to play with Evelyn by dropping a ball into her rocker. | She found her toes!
Hangin with Callie in the mother's lounge, 2,200 miles away.
Loves to watch dad on the computer. | With a car seat and all our groceries, our cart is pretty full at the grocery store.
Wearing a dress from great-grandma.
Evelyn has officially
grown out of her bath sling. Now for bath time she lays down with about 1
1/2 inches of water, wiggling, giggling, and splashing the entire time.
Jay usually leaves for work before Evelyn is awake. So every morning after she wakes up I take a photo and send it to him.
Rice cereal! The first time I whipped it up Jay
accidentally called it rice pudding. So now that's what we call it. Her
first and second tries were a total success. Third time was not so
successful... She flipped out every time I took the spoon away. I
realized we just needed to go a little bit slower and let her hold the spoon, Once I stick the
spoon in her mouth I wait til she's done sucking on it before taking it
away and reloading with more rice cereal. I mean- rice pudding. ;)
Our one and only rice pudding fail.
