It's a shame not being able to spend the holidays with our family in California. But I'm so thankful for THIS family, and the opportunity to set our own traditions. Truthfully, we didn't do anything Thanksgiving related...
We went on two separate walks because the weather was beautiful- 50 degrees, and the six inches of snow we got just five days prior had completely melted. Then Jay and I teamed up in the kitchen and made pork chops. With just the two of us here to eat, sadly it just didn't make sense to go all out on a traditional Thanksgiving feast. I suppose Evelyn could have counted as a third person and helped us put a dent in the food, but we figured we'll have a lot of years to enjoy traditional chaotic Thanksgiving dinners. It was nice to take a more peaceful and easy-going route this year.
Really it doesn't matter where we are or what we're doing, I can't go wrong with these two.
