We've been looking forward to cutting down our own Christmas tree since we realized too late last year that cutting down our own Christmas tree was even an option.
Wahmhoff Farms in Gobles, Michigan, had fields of pines to choose from. And they made the whole process so simple. We drove up and received a map of the farm, free popcorn, instructions on where to get a saw, then we were off to find the perfect tree. Only a few minutes in to scoping out the place we found our tree, chopped it down, tied it up, paid a reasonable price for it, then headed home.
As far as the weather, it was a perfect day for tree hunting- high 30's and sunny (that's pretty good for Michigan in December). Overall it was an awesome experience. I might have a hard time if we ever go back to picking out a tree at a boring ole lot.
