May 2016

These two are double the trouble and twice the fun.

Getting pretty good at standing up unassisted.

This wall hanging is one of her favorite toys. Often after I lay her down for a nap I hear her banging the beads banging against the wall. Might be time to trim it up.

This girl can down so many strawberries in one sitting, she's likely to turn into one.

Still obsessed with blind cords...

...and electrical outlets, particularly the one beside our bed where the baby monitor is plugged in.

Experiencing bubbles for the first time.

Evening at the park with dad.

Church these days.

Mastering the art of picking her nose.

We were all dolled up and ready for church one day when Evelyn barfed all over the both of us. This was her first case of the heavies and it was just THE most heartbreaking thing. Each time she threw up I knew it was coming because she would cry- not a loud cry but a pitiful whimper along with the saddest face. She couldn't keep anything down all day, not even Pedialyte. But by that night she was done throwing up and even slept the whole night. Jess said it well: Nothing more humbling than cleaning up your child's vomit. I'd do anything for my Evelyn.

I left her playing on the floor for maybe thirty seconds. When I returned she was sitting on the couch pointing the Wii remote towards the TV. Apparently she can climb up on the couch now, and it's her favorite new trick.

Her first tooth finally came through one week before her first birthday in March. And now at 14 months she's up to four teeth and I just cannot get enough of that pearly white smile.

The Johnson's came to Vegas for a weekend. We got to enjoy a Saturday BBQ with them at Jack and Mitzi's house.

Busy busy busy.

Visiting dad at work.

She spends nearly all of her playtime pushing around that walker and her baby stroller. She'll be cruising the place on her own any day now!

New swimsuit.

First pedicure.
