While Jay was traveling for work I decided to brave the drive to San Diego all by myself. Well, not completely by myself, however driving 4 1/2 hours with a baby and a dog was a daunting task. But these girls were awesome. We managed to get through the drive with only one stop. Kella's never been a problem in the car and thanks to YouTube and the iPad, Evelyn was perfectly content the entire way.
It's puppies galore over at grammy and papa's.
Sweet Brooklyn. She had just barely gotten home from school when she came up to me and gasped, "WAIT right there!" She bolted up the stairs and came back within sixty seconds, strutting towards me with a new shirt on and goofy grin and said, "You like my shirt?"
These cute cousins have finally caught up to each other in milestones- both crawling and standing, which made for the busiest and cutest reunion.
Evelyn 14 months | Callie 11 months
I got to babysit Wyatt, Callie, and Evelyn for a few hours at Jess'. The babies both slept the majority of the time, but they were awake together long enough for me to realize how chaotic life with twins would be. It was sweet to see them sleeping in the same position, in separate beds.
She has good days and bad days but overall grandma's health is declining quickly. Seeing her in this condition was surreal and very heartbreaking. I don't know that we'll be seeing her again in this life (Although I wouldn't be too surprised- this lady is tenacious!), but I know there are good times ahead in the eternities. And though grandma no longer really understands who Evelyn is, I'm so thankful these two at least got to meet on several occasions.
