Saturdays. They've always been very low-key for us. I get going on chores first thing while Jay takes over with Evelyn. We'll go on a small outing- the pool or a walk to the park (whatever weather permits). The afternoon is spent takin' it easy and keeping the little one entertained. Later on Jay picks up dinner while I put Evelyn to bed. And the rest of the night is dedicated to a date night in where we feast while watching The Office for the millionth time or something from Redbox.
In years to come our Saturdays will be filled with things like kid's sports events, more messes, more chores, chaos, and who knows what. So though I occasionally get antsy on these slower days, I'm choosing to embrace these Saturdays- this precious and very temporary season of life.
