Grad School | Back to School Night

So far this whole Grad School thing isn't so bad. Jay may beg to differ I mean, he is the Grad student.
I was told months ago that if Jay got into this program, we would never see each other, never get to eat dinner together, never go on dates again, blah blah blah.
Turns out that's not the case!
Jay is very busy that is for sure but he is also very good at managing his time, making it possible for us to spend most evenings together AND we haven't even missed a date night.
It helps that he's going to a school that supports family time and likes to keep the spouses involved.

All of his classes are held in the Tanner Building.
Jay and I attended a dinner (and dessert) for all of BYU's Grad students.
Right after the dinner I had to run (barefoot due to heels) in the rain across campus to get to a Back to School Night event held by MBASA.

(MBASA (pronouced em-basa) is the BYU MBA Spouses Association.
Their goal is simply to help the spouses and families of students embrace the experience by being connected with what the students are doing, and making new friends. MBASA has activities constantly going on; Google groups, websites, craft nights, service projects, exercise classes, and the list goes on.)

Back to School Night was amazing and so imformative.
We heard from Dr Meryll the Dean of the program.
We also heard from a few current students who informed us of what our hubs would be enduring through school, as well as answering many of our questions.
It was a lovely event full of lovely, friendly people just trying to reach out and offer support in this crazy, exciting, and unpredictable time in our lives.
Before we were accepted into this program, the more I learned about it the more at peace I felt about the idea of Jay attending.
And now the further into the program we get, the further I am reassured that this is where we are supposed to be.
There is still much uncertainty in our future.
But the uncertainty doesn't make me uneasy anymore. I am at ease.
We will go where the wind blows us and it will be wonderful, even if we are blown to the other side of the country, or even the world!

I'm so lucky to have such a wonderful man by my side.
He is working so hard, keeping me involved and more importantly, keeping the Lord involved.
I fully believe once all this schooling is over, we will be led to a place that is right for us.

Thank you for linking your blog! I love it. It is very cute and fresh. Also, I was at that dinner and took the same picture! HA! And ran across campus for the back to school night. I had similar feelings as well.
