happy birthday to my man!
Since his birthday ended up right in the middle of a busy first week of school, it was more of a quiet and relaxing celebration.
When it comes to birthdays Jay is very easygoing and doesn't really give me clues as to what he wants.
But this is a great thing because it allows me to be creative and really surprise him.
This year I hung balloons all over the apartment filled with his favorite treats and special notes.

I think he really enjoyed popping the balloons.
After he opened his presents we went out for a delicious CPK dinner, then home for cupcakes and 24 (our latest obsession.)
I love this boy so very, very much.
He makes me smile every single day.
Even if I'm ever frustrated with him, he always manages a way to make it impossible for me to stay frustrated.
He is an amazing husband, (especially when he does the dishes ;)) an incredibly respectable hard working man, and he is my bestest friend in the whole wide world.
I can't wait to keep celebrating birthdays and living life with him.

YAY!!! happy birthday Jay!!! That's what all that noise was! BALLOONS! :-) Just kidding.. we didn't hear because we were at the HOSPITAL! Ugh. Still.. i'm glad you guys had a great birthday night. Birthdays are the best... Now it's rachel's turn. :-)
