Baby Jensen | Telling the Family

We could hardly wait to tell our family the big news once we found out on July 12th.

My mom would be arriving in Michigan for a visit on the 21st. I wanted to tell mom in person and I couldn't tell other family members before telling her. So we waited patiently with our lips sealed for nine days. It was killer!

Before mom flew into town, Jay and I did a little photoshoot. [I was six weeks along.]

We hung one of the photos on our fridge. When mom arrived we gave her a tour of our home, saving the kitchen for last. Once we got to the kitchen she looked at the photo and said, "Oh that's cute." She didn't get it. Ha ha. We didn't know what to say so we just smiled. She looked at it again and exclaimed, "OH! Really?!"

We shared the good news with the rest of the family in the same way we shared it with mom. Via FaceTime we gave them a tour of our home and saved the kitchen for last.

It took a couple minutes for the news to register to everyone. But once they put it all together they were absolutely thrilled, crying tears of joy!
