In a Seinfeld episode "The Parking Spot" Jerry and Elaine have a discussion about the last time they threw up. While watching, Jay and I were led to the same discussion. For me it was quite recent, but Jay couldn't even recall the last time he threw up. I pointed out that he hasn't vomited or gotten any kind of stomach flu in the entire 6 years I've known him.
Two days later I woke up in the middle of the night to the sound of Jay vomiting in the bathroom...
His Pizza Hut lunch from the day before gave him and his buddy a violent case of food poisoning. [He brought home leftovers and I considered eating them for dinner. Talk about dodging a bullet.] It put him out for a good three days. I hated seeing him SO sick. It was heart breaking and well, kinda gross. But I treasure any extra time I get to spend with him. He is a sweetheart, a goofball, and just a joy to be around- even when he's ill.
